William G Anderson, D.O. – Lake Havasu City

Dr. Anderson is Co-Owner of Arizona Desert Dermatology and a MOHS Surgeon.

He is Double Board Certified in Family Medicine and Dermatology. Honors include Past President of American Academy of Specialitst in Dermatology and Dermatologist of the Year in 2011 by AAPS.

Dr. Anderson and his family have been a residents in Mohave County for the past 17 years.


Tammy Smith, DCNP – Lake Havasu City

Tammy Smith is a Northern Arizona University Alumni and Dermatology Certified Nurse Practitioner. She is a member of the American Nurses Association, Arizona Nurses Foundation and Dermatology Nurses Association.She joined Arizona Desert Dermatology and Surgery in July 2015. Prior to focusing on dermatology as a specialty, she provided emergency care within the hospital setting and emergency medical services in the community. She is a member of the American Nurses Association, Arizona Nurses Foundation and Dermatology Nurses Association. Her practice includes skin biopsy and treatment of acne in teens and adults, eczema, warts, rosacea, psoriasis, shingles, sun damage, cysts, lipomas, skin cancer screening and skin cancer treatment.

Tammy and her husband have enjoyed living in Lake Havasu City for over 20 years. They have raised their children in the community and participate in local events and functions whenever possible. They are avid mountain bikers and travel frequently to race or ride in beautiful Arizona and points beyond.


Michael R. Proctor, DO – Bullhead

Dr. Michael R. Proctor is a Board Certified Dermatologist and Co-Owner of Arizona Desert Dermatology and Surgery. He graduated from The College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in California, (Now part of Western University of Health Sciences) and practiced in California for 10 years.

He moved to Bullhead City in 1998 to work for Arizona Desert Dermatology and Surgery. He and Dr. Bill Anderson bought the practice from Dr. Don Anderson, in 2008. They have added three different lasers, the newest technology in the field of dermatology, a med-spa, and skin cancer radiation technology.

Dr. Michael Proctor is a diplomat of the American Association of Physician Specialists.


Ryan Proctor, DO, FAAD – Bullhead

Dr Ryan grew up in Southern California and did his undergrad at BYU-Hawaii and Arizona State. He attended medical school at Touro University in Henderson, Nevada and completed his Dermatology Residency at Aspen Dermatology in Spanish Fork, Utah.

He has an amazing wife, 3 wonderful boys and an adorable little girl that keep him busy in his spare time (and he wouldn’t have it any other way). When he’s not at work he’s either coaching (swim, soccer and baseball), playing pickleball, building something in the backyard or helping out at church. He enjoys watching Liverpool FC, Dodger baseball & Golden Knights hockey, being read to by his Audible app, anything related to Hawaii, and spending quality time with his family.


Annika Bergeson, DCNP – Kingman

Annika Bergeson, DCNP has been caring for patients at Arizona Desert Dermatology in our Kingman location since June 2011. She completed her Master of Science in Nursing at Northern Arizona University in 2008. Prior to joining Arizona Desert Dermatology Annika obtained 2 years of work experience as a charge/floor nurse at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, Oregon, as well as 3 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner at Kingman Pulmonary Associates. Following 2 years and more than 3,000 hours of work experience in Dermatology she fulfilled the Education, Practice, and Written Examination requirements to be designated as a Dermatology Certified Nurse Practitioner (DCNP).

Annika’s practice encompasses treatment of Acne in Teens and Adults, Warts, Rosacea, Psoriasis, Shingles, Sun Damage, Skin Cancer Screening and Treatment, Skin Biopsy, Cyst Removal, as well as various Cosmetic Dermatologic Procedures.

Annika is a long time resident of Kingman, where she and her family are actively involved in the community.


Nathan Peterson, D.O. – Kingman

As a Dermatologist, Dr. Nathan Peterson specializes in diseases and care of the skin. He has brought an extraordinary level of background and experience to Arizona Desert Dermatology.  Dr. Peterson received an Osteopathic Medical Degree from the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2005 and began his post-doctorate training at the Naval Hospital at Camp Pendleton’s Marine Corps Base. He was then selected to train as a Naval Flight Surgeon and subsequently chosen to serve at the United States Naval Academy. While at the Naval Academy he was an FAA aeromedical examiner and also served as a member of a selection committee recommending USNA students for medical school. This lead him to develop a new class at the Naval Academy in which he instructed pre-med students in preparation for medical school.

After serving in the military and while applying for a dermatology residency program, Dr. Peterson worked for Arizona Desert Dermatology from 2010 to 2012. He left for three years to complete his residency in Dermatology through Aspen Dermatology.  During his training he has co-authored three chapters in a dermatology textbook and has been published in nationally recognized dermatology journals.  Dr. Peterson’s three year dermatology residency also included extensive training in Mohs Surgery which is a specialized, highly effective technique for the removal of skin cancer.

After completing his residency in July 2015, Dr. Peterson returned to Arizona Desert Dermatology and currently leads a team of healthcare professionals treating skin damage from the effects of the Arizona sun including pre-cancers, skin cancers, and other diseases of the skin. He continues to enjoy teaching and being involved in residency training here at Arizona Desert Dermatology.

Dr. Peterson and his wife Sara make their home in Kingman Arizona. When not providing patient care the Peterson’s enjoy many outdoor activities including running, hiking, fishing, hunting and numerous other sports. Dr. Peterson also volunteers time with his local church and the Boy Scouts of America. He continues to keep busy raising 6 young boys and the most recent addition to the family, their daughter Carly.
